It is deeply amazing to think about when I go to pray, that this God, is my God, and He made the world!

That is why the Genesis account is attacked - tear down the beginning - place doubt in the people and discredit Scripture. The TRUTH, we know, can NOT be tore down and is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER! The Creation Museum is a wonderful place that seeks to proclaim this truth and in doing so spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

BTW...I like your new background. :-)

I can see your frustration. The problem is that people have been told for so long that "the Bible is just a story book--just like any other fairy-tale." They then think "If the stories of Noah's Flood and David and Goliath are just nice stories, then God didn't create because it's just a story." Most of all, they won't get it--they're spiritually blind. Unless God opens their eyes, they will continue to stumble in this dark world, trying to visualizing this simple truth apart from the Holy Spirit's illumination.

Yes, Zach... I agree!
The author of the article I posted the link for, Karl Giberson, in response to a question about whether Adam and Eve were mythical, said

"The question of Adam and Eve is complex, but here is how I think about it: The various characters in the Bible who refer to Adam are not 21st century historians. They are first century middle-easterners, who do not think about history they way we do today. The "past" as they conceptualized it, was more of an explanation for how and why the world appears as it does, rather than our view, which would be a record of the events that took place before we got here. The culture of that time had no clear distinction between the events of the past and meaningful stories from long ago. These were woven together. To respect the statements of people like Jesus, Paul, Peter and so on, we must not do them the disservice of wrenching them from their times and forcing them into ours. That generation was not stupid or backward or incapable of clear thinking. They were bright capable people who lived at a certain time and in a certain place. In this time and in this place, genealogies were conceptualized totally differently. Such genealogies excluded women, added centuries to some people's ages, placed deities on the tree and so on. Plato, for example, was said to be descended from Zeus--on his father's side, of course. We must let biblical characters be biblical characters and let them speak of Adam and Eve in the way that made sense for them."

His words verbatim...
You're right...
They're blind!
