Ointment and perfume delight the heart, And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.

Proverbs 27:10
Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend, Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity; Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

3 John 1:14
but I hope to see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace to you. Our friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.

Let's sing!

"What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear
what a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer"

What a gift of word and creature...
Friend.

You are mine & I am your's.

So many familiar verses and SO TRUE! My favorite's got to be John 15:13--that's the mark of a true friend. It reminds me so much of Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. MRS. LYNN--you said it best--"O' what a friend we have in Jesus!"

Hey, can you guys pray for me? I am taking a big and much needed step in my youth group and I can't do it without God. Thanks, "Proverbs27:17
As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."

I love that verse, along with many others.
